Hong Kong Wealth Academy Adds Four Board Members

The Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy has added four board members from various sectors, including real estate, education, investment and hospitality.

The Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy (HKAWL) has appointed Daryl Ng Win Kong and Philip Sohmen as vice chairmen as well as Ronald Chan Wai-yan and Winnie Chiu Wing-kwan as board members, according to a statement.

The appointments combine leaders from various sectors, including Sino Group chairman Ng from real estate, YK Pao School co-founder Sohmen from education, Chartwell Capital founder and CIO Chan from investment management and Dorsett Hospitality International chair and executive director Chiu from hospitality.

Recent Developments

HKAWL aims to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a global family office hub with a focus on networking, knowledge expansion, talent development and the building of a holistic ecosystem. In the past two years, it has engaged more than 3,100 family asset owners and next generation leaders in over 20 capacity-building events. It also launched the Impact Link Online Portal, which connects philanthropists and family offices with high-impact charitable projects.
