QBE Re Appoints Head of Southeast Asia
Australian reinsurer QBE Re has appointed a head of Southeast Asia, based in Singapore.
QBE Re has appointed Soichiro Tanaka as head of Southeast Asia, according to a statement. In the newly created role, he will lead the underwriting strategy for Southeast Asia, overseeing portfolio management and growth opportunities. Based in Singapore, he reports to Cindy Foo, head of Asia, treaty.
Tanaka has 13 years of insurance and reinsurance experience across Asia and he joins from Aspen where he was a senior underwriter, contributing to growth across property, casualty and specialty lines for the firm's Singapore branch.
