AllianzGI Nets 30-Year Vet as APAC Distribution Head
The asset management arm of Allianz has hired a 30-year veteran from Citi to lead distribution for the Asia Pacific region.
Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has appointed Julie Koo as head of distribution, Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective May 1, and she will also become a member of the firm’s executive committee. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to AllianzGI CEO Tobias Pross.
Koo has more than three decades of institutional and wealth management experience across Asia, Europe and North America. She joins Citi's wealth unit, where she was previously its head of partnerships & relationship management. Prior to that, she also worked at UBS, HSBC and Fidelity International.
