Fiera Capital Adds Private Markets Specialist in Japan

Canadian asset manager Fiera Capital has hired a private markets specialist in its newly opened office in Japan.

Fiera Capital has appointed Chinatsu Aoyama as director, private markets specialist in Japan, according to a statement. In the role, she will support distribution of the firm’s full range of private markets strategies across real estate debt and equity, natural capital, infrastructure, private credit and private equity to Japanese investors. Based in Tokyo, she reports to CJ Morrell, managing director and head of Japan at Fiera Capital Asia.

Aoyama has over 15 years of investor relations experience in Japan and was a former Singapore-based director at HQ Capital. Previously, she also worked at Squadron Capital, Boston Consulting Group and Citigroup.

«As demand for private markets strategies continues to grow among Japanese investors, Chinatsu will play an indispensable role in expanding market awareness of Fiera Capital’s private markets platform in the region,» commented Morrell.
