Former UBS Banker Joins BOS to Lead Advisory
A former UBS executive has joined OCBC's private banking arm, Bank of Singapore, to lead its investment advisory function.
Bank of Singapore has appointed Claude Andre Harbonn as head of investment advisory, according to a statement, effective 5 January 2026. Based in Singapore, he will report to the heads of private banking at the three major hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai. All investment advisors in the three hubs will report to him functionally, in addition to their local reporting lines.
In the newly created role, Harbonn will lead the bank’s global investment advisory teams and set the strategic direction of the investment advisory function. He will also be tasked with driving revenue growth and collaborating closely with the front office to expand product penetration and enhance portfolio advisory services.
Harbonn has over 20 years of experience in private banking and wealth management, most recently serving as co-head of the ultra-high net worth solutions group at UBS, where he led global teams across Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong with a focus on complex mandates and family office advisory. Prior to that, he also held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, including market group head for Indonesia & Malaysia as well as head of advisory & sales for South Asia.
