BNP Paribas Cardif Appoints Asia CEO
The insurance arm of BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer for Asia.
BNP Paribas Cardif has appointed Michael Nguyen as CEO of Asia, according to a statement.
Nguyen joined the firm in 2020 as chief information officer and was most recently deputy CEO and chief operating officer, leading the efficiency, technology and operations department. Previously, he also worked at SCOR Group, Bouygues, AXA and Airbus.
BNP Paribas Cardif is the insurance arm of parent BNP Paribas with more than 500 partner distributors in a variety of sectors, including banks and financial institutions, automotive sector companies, retailers and telecommunications companies. It has a presence in 30 countries across Europe, Asia and Latin America with 9,000 employees and gross written premiums of 36.4 billion euros ($41.8 billion) in 2024.
