BNP Paribas Hires Ex-HSBC Private Banker in Taiwan
The wealth management unit of BNP Paribas has hired a former private banker from HSBC in Taipei.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management has appointed Eric Kao as team head, private banking for the onshore Taiwan business, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia. He has 14 years of industry experience, most recently as a team head at HSBC Global Private Banking in Taipei. Prior to that, he held a similar role at UBS.
When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
The French private bank recently hired former UBS executive Che-Kun Hsu as head of wealth management for Taiwan.
