Former BOS Private Banking Co-Head Joins EFG in Singapore
Zurich-headquartered EFG has hired a former Bank of Singapore leader as its vice chairman for Southeast Asia.
EFG Bank has appointed Robin Heng as vice chairman of Southeast Asia, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports directly to Albert Chiu, executive chairman, Asia Pacific and functionally to Tho Gea Hong, CEO, Singapore branch.
Heng is a veteran with 30 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as co-head of private banking at Bank of Singapore, where he developed and grew its Southeast Asia business. Previously, he also held leadership roles at UBS and Citi in Singapore and Hong Kong.
«I am convinced that [Heng] will make a meaningful contribution to our growth strategy in the region. With his vast experience and network, he will support our ambition to expand our footprint in Singapore and beyond, which continues to see strong levels of wealth creation,» said Chiu.
