Manulife Appoints C-Suite Trio in Hong Kong and Macau
Canadian insurer Manulife has announced the appointment of three new C-suite executives for its Hong Kong and Macau business.
Manulife Hong Kong and Macau has appointed three senior executives, including Danny Lee as chief health officer, according to a statement, effective October 14. He will become a key member of the firm’s senior management team for Hong Kong and Macau. In the newly created role, he will oversee the entire health business, lead the development of differentiated propositions and elevate the end-to-end experience for customers.
Lee has worked at Manulife for over 20 years across business strategy, pricing, product design, distribution compensation and valuation.
Chief Product Officer
KC Cheung joins as chief product officer and also a key member of the Hong Kong and Macau senior management team, effective October 14. He will lead product innovation, transformation and in-force management to meet evolving customer needs and ensure sustainable value across the product portfolio.
Cheung has 25 years of insurance and banking experience, most recently as CEO of Hang Seng Insurance. Previously, he was head of products at HSBC Life.
Chief Strategy Officer
Finally, Louisa Li will become chief strategy officer and head of Macau branch, effective September 1. This is an expanded capacity in addition to her current role as head of strategy and transformation at Manulife Asia. She will remain a member of the global leadership team and the Asia segment executive leadership team while also joining the senior management team for Hong Kong and Macau.
In her new role, Li will lead the Hong Kong and Macau strategy team, the strategic project management office and the Macau branch, while continuing to drive strategy and transformation across the Asia segment.
