Pacific Life Re Appoints Asia Duo
The life and health reinsurance subsidiary of American insurer Pacific Life has announced two new appointments in Asia.
Pacific Life Re has appointed Wallace Ong as head of business proposition and enablement, protection, Asia, according to a statement. In the newly created role, he will focus on strengthening the firm's value proposition and accelerating market readiness across Asia. He has been managing the Southeast Asia and China protection teams for the past 18 months.
Spenser Chen succeeds Ong as head of Southeast Asia, protection, Asia. With over 15 years of experience in consulting, insurance and reinsurance markets across Southeast Asia, Japan and the UK, Chen will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deepen client partnerships, deliver market-specific solutions and strengthen the company's presence in the region.
