Ex-Schroders APAC Wealth Head Joins Eastspring
The Asia asset management arm of Prudential has hired a former Asia wealth head from Schroders in Singapore.
Eastspring Investments has appointed Szu Yi Chin as head of global financial institutions (GFI) and intermediaries, according to a statement, effective September 1. Based in Singapore, she will report to Salman Haider, chief distribution officer, head of ASEAN and Singapore CEO.
In the newly created role, Chin will lead the firm’s coverage of global banks and intermediaries while collaborating closely with teams to drive innovation in retail product strategies.
Chin has more than 20 years of experience in the wealth and intermediary space, most recently as head of wealth for Asia Pacific at Schroders. Prior to that, she also served as Taiwan country head at Fidelity International and Southeast Asia head of intermediary and private banking sales at Deutsche Bank.
Operating since 1994, Eastspring is the Asia-based asset management arm of insurer Prudential and as of 31 March 2025, it had $256 billion in assets under management.
