T. Rowe Price Nets Ex-UBS Executives for Asia Distribution

US asset manager T. Rowe Price has hired two former UBS executives to strengthen its distribution business in Asia.

T. Rowe Price has appointed Zong Han Lee as senior director for Southeast Asia based in Singapore, according to a statement. In the role, he will be responsible for driving distribution partnerships in Southeast Asia. He has over ten years of industry experience, joining from UBS Asset Management where he was a director in the Southeast Asia wholesale distribution team.

The American fund house has also hired Avis Choy as associate director for Greater China. Based in Hong Kong, she will focus on
developing and managing relationships with intermediary clients across the Greater China region. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, she held sales and fund specialist positions at UBS Global Wealth Management, UBS Asset Management and Janus Henderson Investors.

Differentiated Active Management

According to Glen Lee, head of intermediary distribution, Asia ex-Japan, T. Rowe Price has «accelerated its growth in the intermediary channel across Asia» in recent years as clients have been increasingly seeking «differentiated, actively managed strategies».

«With our expanded team, we are well-positioned to meet this demand by delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions,» Lee added.

T. Rowe Price first established its Hong Kong office in 1987 and its Singapore office in 1996. It currently manages 29 authorized funds in Hong Kong and 26 recognized funds in Singapore.
