Asia Family Office Expert Resurfaces at US Advisory Firm

A family office and former executive of UBS and Credit Suisse has joined a US-headquartered advisory firm.

Lansberg Gersick Advisors (LGA) has appointed Thomas Ang as a partner, according to a LinkedIn post. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for leading the firm’s global practice for family offices and coordinating the advisory team in Asia.

Ang has over 20 years of experience, most recently as managing director and global co-head for family advisory, art and collecting at UBS Global Wealth Management. Prior to that, he founded the now-defunct Credit Suisse’s family office services unit in 2008 and served as its global head until 2023.

LGA was founded in 1997 by Dr. Ivan Lansberg, a family business consultant, and Dr. Kelin Gersick, a family business and foundation expert who taught at Harvard University and Yale University. Headquartered in the US, the firm serves as an advisory and educational partner to family enterprises with a global reach of over 30 countries and a team of more than 40 advisors.
