Amundi Hires Ex-Aberdeen Insurance Specialist in Singapore
Paris-based Amundi has hired a former Aberdeen executive as an insurance specialist in Singapore.
Amundi has appointed Jian Xiong as Asia insurance specialist, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports to Eddy Wong, CEO, Asia and Lawrence Wee, head of institutional sales, South Asia.
Xiong has over 15 years of experience across asset management, insurance and banking, most recently working at Aberdeen as a senior director in the APAC insurance solutions team. He is also a member of the Expert Committee at the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC). Previously, he worked at China Life Insurance Singapore and Prudential Assurance.
Amundi is a Paris-headquartered fund house with nearly 2.2 trillion euros ($2.5 trillion) in assets under management as of 31 March 2025, including 462 billion euros in Asia.
