The asset management unit of HSBC has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer for Southeast Asia and Singapore. 

HSBC Asset Management appoints Pang Qi Lim as CEO of Southeast Asia and Singapore, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval and effective November 14. He succeeds Patrice Conxioeur who will pursue new opportunities outside of HSBC.

Lim will also assume the additional role of head of strategic partnerships Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, he will report to HSBC Asset Management CEO APAC and Hong Kong Daisy Ho as well as HSBC head of wealth and personal banking Singapore Ashmita Acharya.

Lim joins from Fidelity International where he worked for over a decade, most recently leading business development for the client solutions and services business in APAC. Previously, he also worked at Standard Chartered and Fortis Private Bank.
