London-headquartered HSBC has announced the appointment of a head of commercial banking in Singapore. 

Priya Kini has been named head of commercial banking, HSBC Singapore, according to a statement, effective 1 January 2024. In the role, she reports to HSBC Singapore CEO Wong Kee Joo as well as South and Southeast Asia head of commercial banking Amanda Murphy

Kini succeeds Regina Lee who has been appointed head of commercial banking at Hang Seng Bank, a Hong Kong-based subsidiary of HSBC.

Kini first joined HSBC in 2001 and has held various leadership positions in Singapore, Hong Kong, UK and India. She is currently head of global banking Singapore, a role held since February 2019.
