The investment management arm of Fidelity has announced the appointment of two new roles in Hong Kong.

Charlotte Chan will take on the expanded role of head of workplace and personal investing, Hong Kong at Fidelity International, according to a statement, reporting to head of global workplace investing Keith Metters.

Chan first joined Fidelity in 2010 before rejoining again in 2017. She was most recently head of distribution, Hong Kong workplace and personal investing, leading distribution, propositions, client delivery and operations.

In addition, Fidelity International also appoints Maria Abbonizio as head of Hong Kong, reporting to Asia ex-Japan managing director Rajeev Mittal. Effective July 1, she will take on the new responsibilities in addition to her existing role as global chief administration officer, investment management. 

Abbonizio spent 18 years with Fidelity after joining the firm in 2004. 

The two appointments follow the retirement of KP Luk, who led the Hong Kong workplace and personal investing business for more than 12 years and has served as head of Hong Kong for the past three years.
