Singapore headquartered wealth and asset manager Lighthouse Canton has hired a former equity researcher from JPMorgan.

Lighthouse Canton appoints Sunil Garg as managing director and group head for research and investments, according to a statement. 

In the new role, Garg will work closely with teams across the firm’s offices in Singapore, India and Dubai. His experience in global equity markets, data-driven research and corporate investment banking will also support Lighthouse Canton’s plans to digitize and diversify its offerings and services to high net worth (HNW), ultra-HNW and institutional clients.

Garg has over 30 years of experience, most recently at JPMorgan as its international equity research head. He oversaw the bank’s global expansion of ESG and data-driven research in EMEA as well as APAC and was also a member of the corporate investment banking management committee. Previously, he worked at Fox-Pitt Kelton, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and HSBC.
