Lighthouse Canton Hires Wealth Veteran for Southeast Asia Push
Singapore-based investment firm Lighthouse Canton has appointed Angela Saik as Managing Director of Wealth Management. The hire comes as the firm targets rapid growth across Southeast Asia and aims to double its assets under management by 2027.
Lighthouse Canton has appointed Angela Saik as Managing Director of Wealth Management in Singapore as the investment firm steps up its expansion across Southeast Asia.
Saik will focus on attracting new clients and expanding the firm’s advisory presence in markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Brunei. She will also be responsible for strengthening the regional team through additional senior hires.
The appointment comes as Lighthouse Canton pursues ambitious growth targets. The firm, which currently manages more than $5.5 billion in assets, aims to double its assets under management to $10 billion by 2027.
More Than Two Decades of Experience
Saik brings more than 20 years of experience advising wealthy clients across Asia. She previously held senior positions at Royal Bank of Canada, Pictet Wealth Management and DBS Private Bank.
During her career, she has advised high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families on investments, succession planning and wealth structuring.
«Southeast Asia is at the start of one of the most significant intergenerational wealth transitions the region has seen,» Saik said.
According to her, the conversations with wealthy families are increasingly moving beyond investment decisions to questions of succession, cross-border structuring and the preservation of wealth across generations.
Focus on Regional Growth
Saik said her priority over the coming years would be to expand Lighthouse Canton’s client base across Southeast Asia, particularly in markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, where demand for independent and institutional-grade wealth advice is growing.
Her language skills are expected to support that expansion. Saik speaks English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Cantonese and Hokkien.
«She brings two decades of advisory experience, trusted client relationships across the region, and the cultural and linguistic range to engage families from Jakarta to Manila,» said Shilpi Chowdhary, Group CEO of Lighthouse Canton.
Global Expansion Underway
The appointment is part of a broader expansion strategy at Lighthouse Canton. In November 2025, the company raised $40 million in its first external funding round. The financing was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Nextinfinity and Qatar Insurance Company.
The capital is being used to strengthen the company’s balance sheet, expand its alternative investment capabilities and accelerate its geographic growth.
Lighthouse Canton has also made several senior appointments across Asia, Dubai, India and Europe. In April 2026, the firm entered into a strategic partnership with Taiwan-based investment institution Draco Evolution to strengthen its position in North Asia.
Headquartered in Singapore, Lighthouse Canton employs more than 220 professionals across offices in Singapore, Dubai, India and London. The firm serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, founders and institutional investors through its wealth management, asset management, advisory and capital solutions businesses.
