Fidelity International has hired a former executive from BNP Paribas Asset Management to bolster its digital capabilities in Asia.

Emmanuelle Pecenicic joins Fidelity in the newly created role of Asia head of digital propositions and partnerships, according to a statement, reporting to Rajeev Mittal, managing director, Asia Pacific ex-Japan.

Pecenicic is tasked with leading the development and build-out of Fidelity’s digital capabilities in Asia.

She was most recently with BNP Paribas Asset Management where she led the firm’s global digital strategy. 

«The increasing sophistication of clients in Asia Pacific and shifting demographics requires a strong focus not only on investment offerings but also on digital innovation,» said Mittal. «The pace of digitization of every aspect of the client experience in financial and wealth services is accelerating.»
