U.K.-based insurance broking giant Willis Towers Watson has announced the appointment of Ted Hodgkinson as leader of Hong Kong and Macau, in addition to his current position as head of corporate risk and broking in the two territories, according to a statement this week

Hodgkinson joined the firm five years ago and brings with him more than 20 years of management experience in Asia. He previously held various leadership roles in the insurance industry, including at Aon in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

In his new role, which has a reporting line to Clare Muhiudeen, head of Asia, Hodgkinson is responsible for leading and overseeing WTW's 300-strong staff in Hong Kong and Macau. He will work closely with business leaders from various business segments across WTW to facilitate service delivery, innovation and growth in these markets, the statement said.
