Mark Uy has been named country manager for the Philippines, according to a statement seen by finews.asia, in addition to his existing role as head of Philippines coverage, investment banking & capital markets (IBCM).

In his new role, Uy will report to Edwin Low, CEO of Southeast Asia and frontier markets at Credit Suisse, in addition to his existing reporting line to Rehan Anwer and Pankaj Goel, co-heads of Southeast Asia and frontier markets IBCM, for his latter role.

Uy’s takes over the role from Christian Senn who made the decision to return to Switzerland for another role at the bank after spending the last 15 years in Singapore, including the last three covering the Philippines market with Credit Suisse.

Yesterday, finews.asia reported the appointment of Marcus Slöör as the successor for Senn’s other role as market group head for the Philippines.

«The Philippines is an integral part of our top-ranked Southeast Asia and frontier markets franchise, presenting a significant opportunity for our business,» said Low. «In his expanded role, [Uy] will leverage his knowledge and local market expertise, while tapping into Credit Suisse’s global platform, to deliver integrated, differentiated products and solutions to our clients in the Philippines.»
