Bank of East Asia’s wealth management division head exits after a brief stint, finews.asia has learned.

Henry Pang, general manager and head of wealth management division at BEA has resigned after a brief three-month stint, sources told finews.asia.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the resignation and said it was already in the process of recruiting a successor.

Pang is a private banking veteran in Asia with a 16-year career at BNP Paribas prior to joining BEA. At the French lender, Pang held various senior roles in equity derivatives and private banking, including last as its Taiwan head of wealth management after he was appointed to the role in 2011.

Pang joined BEA in late 2019 to succeed the former head of the division, Grace Chow, who had worked with the Hong Kong family-owned lender since 2005.
