Deutsche Bank stays on course to grow its wealth management evidenced by the latest hire of three ex-Julius Baer bankers to cover the South Asia market.

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management hires directors Abishek Sharma, Ravi Sidhu and Kabir Sharma who will cover offshore Indian clients. In their Dubai-based role, they report to Amrit Singh, the bank’s global South Asia head of wealth management.

Staying on course

According to the release from Deutsche Bank, two more will soon join the wealth management including a managing director and director-leveled hires, also from Julius Baer.

finews.asia first reported an incoming team for the non-resident Indian (NRI) market in early July, amid a strategic focus to grow its wealth management business despite cost-cutting pressures and the latest announcement by the bank further affirms its commitment.

According to a source, the staff at its London wealth management headquarters was mandated to «continue to grow headcount aggressively».
