Goldman Sachs has reshuffled the top ranks at its investment bank in Asia, adding to leadership changes since chief executive David Solomon took over last month.

Goldman’s investment banking chiefs at its Asia office, Andrea Vella and Kate Richdale, have been relieved of their management roles, according to people familiar with the matter.

Vella and Richdale will be replaced by Todd Leland according to a report in «Wall Street Journal» (behind paywall)

Roles in Asia

It appears that Vella and Richdale will remain in Asia to become the co-chairs of the unit, with Richdale moving into a role with more client exposure.

Leland was appointed as the bank's Asia-Pacific chairman last September, as reported by finews.asia.

Other Changes

Since Solomon took over as group chief executive, Goldman last month named Dan Dees, who heads the technology, media and telecom investment banking group globally, as investment banking co-chief.

Dees shares his title with Gregg Lemkau and Marc Nachmann, according to a report in «livemint.com».
