Citi Nets Ex-UBS Investment Banker for ASEAN Real Estate
A former UBS investment banker is joining Citi to lead its ASEAN real estate business, based in Singapore.
Citi has appointed Indran Thana as managing director and ASEAN head of real estate, investment banking, according to a statement, effective June 2026. Based in Singapore, he will report to Matthew Nimtz, head of ASEAN, investment banking, as well as Ben Connolly, Asia head of real estate, investment banking and co-head of capital markets and advisory for Australia and New Zealand.
Thana joins from UBS, where he was managing director and head of real estate, lodging & leisure for Asia. Previously, he also worked at DBS, Maybank and Amanah Capital.
«Indran's deep client relationships, proven track record, and comprehensive expertise across traditional and emerging real estate sectors will position us to capture greater market share and deepen partnerships with key institutional and corporate clients throughout Southeast Asia,» said Citi in an internal memo.
