Seek Accelerates Singapore Growth in Competitive Talent Market

Digital hiring platform Seek has appointed a seasoned managing director for its subsidiary Jobstreet in Singapore, reinforcing its strategic push to expand market share and deepen digital hiring capabilities in one of Asia’s most competitive employment landscapes.

Esther Lee transitions into the role from her position as Seek’s Head of APAC Commercial Growth, where she pioneered SmartHire – the company’s pay-per-hire solution rolled out across Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Seek is the parent company of Asia’s leading online employment marketplaces, Jobstreet and JobsDB.

Lee’s immediate mandate is to drive Jobstreet’s next phase of growth by combining world-class AI-driven talent matching with strong local market reach and personalised support for employers and jobseekers.

Pan-Regional Leadership Experience

Since joining Seek in 2014, Lee has held multiple leadership positions across Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Melbourne. Her experience includes overseeing transformation strategies, enhancing operational efficiency across Asia, and incubating new revenue streams on the employer side of the marketplace.

She also previously served as Acting Managing Director of Jobstreet in Indonesia, where she delivered «strong business improvements» in a rapidly evolving market.

Unlocking Hiring Opportunities

Highlighting Singapore’s role as Asia’s business gateway, Lee said she sees «immense potential» to expand Jobstreet’s impact by connecting businesses with the talent needed to power growth.

«I’m excited to help jobseekers and companies to find what they’re seeking – whether that’s a meaningful career or exceptional talent needed to drive success for businesses of all sizes across Singapore,» she added.

Data-Driven Matching

Jobstreet has been connecting talent with career opportunities in Singapore since 1999, leveraging Seek’s AI-enabled marketplace infrastructure to deliver faster, more accurate hiring decisions.

Backed by a multinational footprint across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, Seek remains focused on scaling digital hiring solutions that enhance productivity and support long-term labour market development.
