AIA Appoints Group Risk Chief
Hong Kong-headquartered insurer AIA has announced the appointment of a new chief risk officer for the group.
AIA has appointed Ben Ng as group chief risk officer designate and group executive committee member, according to a statement, effective October 1. He will assume the role of group chief risk officer from 1 January 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, succeeding Jayne Plunkett, who will retire from her role. Based in Hong Kong, Ng reports to Lee Yuan Siong, group chief executive and president.
Ng joined AIA in 2011 and held senior executive roles across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, including as CEO of Malaysia, Indonesia and group corporate solutions.
«[Ng] brings extensive leadership experience across our markets, a deep understanding of risk management and governance, and a proven
track record of effective collaboration with regulators and boards. These qualities make him exceptionally well-suited to this critical role,» Lee said.
