AMINA Hires Private Banking Heavyweight as Asia Head
A 30-year wealth management veteran has joined Swiss-headquartered crypto bank AMINA to lead its Asia Pacific business.
AMINA Bank has appointed Michael Benz as head of Hong Kong and Asia Pacific, according to a statement. In this role, he reports to CEO Franz Bergmueller.
Benz has more than 30 years of experience in private banking and wealth management, including two decades in Asia. Previously, he held senior roles including global head of private banking at Standard Chartered, CEO of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Asia and APAC head of product & services at UBS Wealth Management.
Record Performance in 2024
The new appointment occurs following record financial performance for the Zug-headquartered crypto bank in 2024 with revenue growing 69 percent to $40.4 million.
