Global law firm Mayer Brown has bolstered its trade and structured finance capabilities with the addition of a new partner in Singapore.

Janelene Chen has joined Mayer Brown as a partner in its banking and finance practice, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, she will focus on trade and other structured finance transactions.

Chen has extensive experience advising financial institutions and corporate borrowers on cross-border financing, including trade finance, event-driven financing, structured lending and general banking. Her track record of cross-border transactions mostly involved Singapore, Indonesia, Indochina, Hong Kong and mainland China. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, she was a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright.
