Zurich-based insurer Chubb has relocated an executive from New York to lead its international personal lines unit in the region.

Omar Ghaznawi joins Chubb as regional head of international personal lines (IPL) for Asia Pacific, according to a statement, reporting to APAC regional head of consumer Ben Howell

Ghaznawi will be responsible for managing and developing the region's automobile, residential, specialty personal lines, and high net worth insurance businesses.

Relocation to Singapore

Ghaznawi is currently based in New York as vice president of global head of residential, IPL and will relocate to Singapore for his new role.

Prior to joining Chubb, Ghaznawi worked as a management consultant for insurers and financial institutions at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Previously, he also worked at Travelers Insurance managing an automobile insurance portfolio. 

US-listed Chubb has operations in 54 countries and territories, including executive offices in Zurich, New York, London and Paris, employing approximately 34,000 people worldwide.
