Swiss digital asset specialist Crypto Finance AG has named a successor to head of Asia Alisher Tashpulatov with the relocation of a Swiss national to Singapore.

Swiss national Daniel Kukan has been appointed as head of Crypto Finance Asia, according to a statement, and will relocate from Zurich to Singapore in the new role.

Kukan was most recently a senior trader at Crypto Finance. He has extensive experience in derivatives and previously worked for at UBS, Credit Suisse, Bank Vontobel, and the Zurich Kantonalbank.

Kukan succeeds Alisher Tashpulatov, who has made «valuable contributions and spearheaded Crypto Finance's key business developments projects in Asia since 2020», the statement added.

Asia Expansion

Crypto Finance – majority-owned by German exchange operator Deutsche Börse following a December 2021 deal – launched its Singapore office in 2020 following a 2019 Hong Kong office opening as part of its regional expansion efforts.

It is also actively expanding its capabilities including through an application for a Payment Services Act (PSA) license in the city-state.
