Millennials Feature In Goldman Sachs' Funds

Goldman Sachs Asset Management announced on Monday that it has launched four new thematic investment funds for retail investors in Singapore upon receiving approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Previously available only to private banking and institutional investors in Singapore, Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has started to offer funds for retail investors that span fundamental equities and alternatives.

The four funds - Goldman Sachs Emerging Markets Equity ESG Portfolio, Goldman Sachs Global Millennials Equity Portfolio, Goldman Sachs Global Real Estate Equity Portfolio, and Goldman Sachs Absolute Return Tracker Portfolio - brings the firm's total number of retail-registered offerings in Singapore to 22.

Leverage On Collective Expertise

«Thematically, one of the global megatrends that most excites us currently is the rise of the millennial consumer – we believe targeting companies that benefit from the rising wealth and changing habits of the millennial generation can drive superior long term returns,» said Kathryn Koch, Co-head of Fundamental Equity at GSAM.

These funds leverage GSAM’s collective expertise across markets and asset classes, and are supported by its proprietary strategies and strategic partnerships, the bank added. GSAM’s Fundamental Equity team conducts original, bottom-up research across a broad range of capitalizations and styles, spanning global developed and emerging markets. This team utilizes growth equity, value equity, global equity, and real estate securities strategies.
