Citi Appoints Syndication Duo in Australia

New York-based Citi has expanded its Australia syndication team with two new appointments.

Citi has appointed Jessica Rowe as director, spread products syndication, Australia and APAC and Dane Harris as vice president in the A$ debt syndicate team, according to a statement.

Rowe joins from NAB where she worked for 10 years, syndicating securitized products in both the UK and Australian markets. In her new role, she will be responsible for the execution of primary securitization transactions across RMBS, ABS and CMBS/CRE in Australia and APAC while working closely with internal structuring and originations teams, sales and trading.

Harris has over 15 years of experience, most recently at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he led product development for the fixed income division. Previously, he worked at UBS and Deutsche Bank's debt syndicate teams in London. At Citi, he will lead efforts for A$ unsecured bond syndication, pricing, and distribution for both domestic and Kangaroo issuers. He will work closely with partners in debt capital markets and leverage finance, market sales and trading and risk.

«These two appointments demonstrate our commitment to leading in the Australian dollar corporate credit, rates and ABS securitised products space,» said Cristina Chang, Citi Australia and New Zealand head of markets. «Australia has the third largest corporate bond market of all G10 currencies, following the USD and Euro. Citi is building out our team to ensure we have unmatched capabilities in this growing space.»
