Ex-HSBC Wealth Chief Succeeds Allfunds Founder

The founder of B2B platform Allfunds has been replaced by the former wealth management head of HSBC.

Allfunds has appointed Annabel Spring as CEO, according to a statement, succeeding Juan Alcaraz who founded the company 25 years ago. Alcaraz will remain in an advisory role for 12 months to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Spring is a 30-year banking and wealth management veteran who joins from HSBC where she was most recently CEO of global private banking and wealth. Previously, she also worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Morgan Stanley.

Wealth of Experience

According to Allfunds chair David Bennett, Spring’s «deep connections to the global client base and a wide range of asset managers» will drive the firm’s future growth strategy.

«The Board is delighted to welcome Annabel Spring as our new CEO. Her extensive experience leading global wealth management businesses, her broad understanding of international banking and her focus on people, technology and client experience make her the ideal leader for Allfunds’ next phase of growth,» Bennett commented.

Key Milestones

Founded in 2000, Madrid-headquartered Allfunds has grown into a major B2B wealthtech platform under Alcaraz’s leadership with over 1.5 trillion euros ($1.7 trillion) in assets under administration, servicing 940 distributors in 66 countries.

«Juan Alcaraz has led Allfunds with great dedication since its launch through its key milestones, including the IPO in 2021, and has worked ceaselessly to serve the business, our clients and shareholders. We are grateful for his exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial spirit over the years and wish him all the best with his future pursuits,» Bennett said.

«It has been an honor to work with everyone at Allfunds, especially the members of the Executive Committee and the Board, and I leave the business in very capable hands, strongly positioned for the future and with significant business momentum into 2025 and beyond,» Alcaraz added.
