Ex-BNP Paribas WM Executive Joins Taiwan Lender

A former wealth executive from BNP Paribas has joined a Taiwanese bank as its president.

Kate Lin has joined KGI Bank as president, according to a LinkedIn post. Lin has 28 years of financial experience, most recently at BNP Paribas Wealth Management where she was the CEO of its onshore Taiwan unit for over a year. Prior to that, she worked at Standard Chartered and Citi.

«As we look ahead, I’m looking forward to growing our franchise, and cultivate a culture that never settles for 'good enough,' empowering employees to go the extra mile and fostering lasting trust—making our bank the preferred choice for both clients and top talents,» Lin said in the post.

Based in Taipei, KGI Bank is the commercial banking arm of KGI Financial Holdings, a financial conglomerate founded by Taiwanese billionaire Jeffrey Koo Sr., a third generation member of the Koo family. The Koo family has roots dating back to the late 19th century when it held investments in camphor, salt, sugar and land.
