US-based Citibank has shifted its Shenzhen branch manager to Hong Kong to take on a new role.

Citibank has appointed Janus Wu as head of international personal bank (IPB) for Hong Kong, according to a statement. In the role, he will be responsible for overseeing the IPB business with a focus on leveraging «One-Citi» partnership to cater to client needs as well as driving business growth with a suite of banking solutions and investment services. 

Prior to the latest appointment, Wu was the bank’s Shenzhen branch manager since 2020 before relocating to Hong Kong to take on the new role. He first joined Citi in 2007 as a management associate and held various senior positions across the institutional and consumer businesses, including wealth management unit head in retail banking for Citi China in 2017.
