London-headquartered Standard Chartered has appointed a former Walt Disney executive as a director on its board.

Diane Jurgens has been appointed by Standard Chartered as independent non-executive director on its board, according to a statement. Jurgens was most recently chief information officer at Walt Disney Company. Prior to that, she also worked at mining and metals company BHP, General Motors and Boeing.

In addition, the bank announced that independent non-executive directors Gay Huey Evans and Carlson Tong will retire from the board. Evans is a former Citi and Barclays banker while Tong is a veteran at KPMG where he worked for over 30 years.
