The co-founder of fallen crypto firm Terraforms Labs has been sentenced to four months in jail in Montenegro.

A Montenegro court has sentenced Do Kwon to four months in prison for using forged passports, according to a report by local newspaper «Vijesti».

Kwon was detained in late March along with former Terraform Labs finance officer Han Chang-joon as they attempted to board a flight to Dubai at an airport in Podgorica, Montenegro’s capital. Police said that following the arrest, they found doctored Costa Rican passports, a separate set of Belgian passports, computers and other devices in their luggage.

Authorities in both South Korea and the US are seeking the extradition of Kwon and Han. The US District Court in Manhattan issued an eight-count indictment against Kwon for securities fraud, wire fraud, commodities fraud and conspiracy after his arrest.
