New York-headquartered BNY Mellon has announced the appointment of a chief executive for Hong Kong.

BNY Mellon appoints Francis Giglio as Hong Kong chief executive, according to a statement, effective immediately. He will take on the new role in addition to his existing responsibilities as global head of relationship management for depositary receipts.

Giglio first joined BNY Mellon in 2016 and prior to that, he held leadership positions at Nasdaq and the Singapore Exchange.

Hong Kong Presence

BNY Mellon opened its first Hong Kong representative office in 1958 and a local branch in 1984. Today, Hong Kong serves as the Asia Pacific regional headquarters and houses more than 200 employees.
