Fidelity International hires a former APAC head of equities from Robecco Asset Management for a similar role, based in Hong Kong.

Victoria Mio joins the firm as a director of Asian equities, effective September 14, according to a statement, with direct oversight of the research management team and equity analysts across the regional offices. In her new Hong Kong-based role, Mio will report to Ned Salter, head of equities Asia ex-Japan and global research.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Mio was with Robecco where she spent 14 years and was most recently its China chief investment officer and co-head of APAC equities.

«[Mio’s] breadth and depth of experience both in China and Asia Pacific more broadly will add tremendous value to the team and the organization as a whole,» Salter said. «Her passion for sustainable investing and her experience with ESG integration is a natural fit at Fidelity.»
