He will oversee the firm's Asia-Pacific operations and build a regional platform by supporting the company’s business development initiatives and maximizing its operational efficiency.

Corporate and fund solutions provider Intertrust's Asia-Pacific business is being given a boost with the appointment of Michael Moncarz to the newly created role of managing director, operations, the firm announced on Wednesday.

Moncarz brings to Intertrust a wealth of experience in corporate and investment banking as well as the private wealth management industry, where he has held a range of senior operational roles. He was most recently the chief operating officer for Union Bancaire Privee in Singapore and previously a managing director at Natixis.

Singapore Hires

Intertrust also announced three additions to its Singapore office: Vassilena Ouzounova (senior manager, capital markets), Song Yongtao (trust manager), and Nicholas Tan (manager, private wealth).

«This is in line with the company’s strategy to deepen its bench strength in the private wealth management and capital markets sectors in the AsiaPacific region,» the firm said about the new hires.

Asia Growth

In September, the firm opened its fourth mainland China office in Shenzhen, which is led by Felix Deng.

The company has a total headcount of 350 in Asia Pacific, spread across offices in China, Australia, New Zealand, and its main business hubs in Singapore and Hong Kong.
