L Catterton appoints former Singapore head at McKinsey as its new co-maanging partner of Asia funds.

Chinta Bhagat joins the firm after a four-year stint with Malaysian sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Berhad, as both its head of private markets for South Asia and head of its global healthcare portfolio. Previously, Bhagat spent more than 10 years with McKinsey, including six as years as its Singapore managing partner.

According to L Catterton, it is the largest and most «global consumer-focused private equity firm» with $15 billion of equity capital invested across six funds targeting middle market companies in the consumer sector. It was established in 2010 and invests in every single continent except Africa.
