J. Safra Sarasin has hired a new managing director and vice chair of Client Advisory. She joins from Credit Suisse Private Bank.

Angie Ma is the newly appointed managing director of Bank J. Safra Sarasin. She will be based in Hong Kong and be reporting to Enid Yip, chief executive in Asia.

«Angie Ma has successfully grown and managed large teams, while excelling at offering customised solutions to clients. We will continue to expand with highly regarded bankers as we enhance our coverage in the region,» said Yip.

Track Record

Ma has more than 20 years of experience in private banking, predominantly focused on the Hong Kong and China markets, the bank said in a press statement.

Ma joined Bank J. Safra Sarasin from Credit Suisse Private Bank in Hong Kong where she had been a managing director and market leader, China, since 2014. She previously spent eight years at UBS in Hong Kong developing and leading a large team as a managing director and China south country team head from 2016 to 2014.
