Jone Lang LaSalle has announced three senior appointments in Tokyo for its Japanese capital markets as well as hotels and hospitality units.

Paul Davis and Shai Greenberg join JLL as co-leads of international capital, Japan, according to a statement, based in Tokyo. 

The two are tasked with servicing institutional investors seeking access to the Japanese real estate market, advising on complex portfolio transactions and providing solutions to structure joint ventures and platforms. They will also provide advice on Japan’s alternative real estate asset sector including data centers, living and life sciences. 

Real Estate Experience

Davis was most recently working at law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he was a partner in the Singapore office advising real estate fund managers, operators and institutional investors on cross-border real estate transactions.  

Greenberg joins from Genkai Capital Management in Tokyo, where he was most recently senior vice president responsible for cross-border transactions, structuring, fundraising and management of private debt funds, and the underwriting and execution of private equity real estate investments in the US. Previously, he was a senior manager for Cushman & Wakefield’s Japan business.

Hotels & Hospitality

In addition, JLL also appoints James Abe as head of investment sales for its hotels & hospitality group, Japan. Abe will be responsible for leading a team of hospitality investment professionals in Japan, as well as partnering with members of the global and regional hotels business to further connect investors with opportunities. 

Abe was most recently working at Westmont Japan Investments, where he led their business in the country. Previously, he also had experience at Shinsei Bank and Queens Capital Partners, a real estate investment and advisory firm he founded in New York focused on deals in Japan and North America.
