Singapore-based Temasek Trust has launched a new advisory services unit led by a former UBS executive.

Temasek Trust – the philanthropic unit of Singapore’s state-owned Temasek – has launched a philanthropy advisory services arm called TT Foundation Advisors (TTFA), according to a statement. TTFA aims to be a «one-stop independent provider» of philanthropy advisory and management services to foundations, family offices, business corporations, philanthropists and charities across Asia.

«The launch of TTFA is aligned with Temasek Trust’s aim of building a vibrant and impactful philanthropic ecosystem in Asia by supporting the increasing interest of individuals and family offices in legacy, impact and giving to build a positive, sustainable future for every generation,» said Temasek Trust CEO Desmond Kuek.

Increased Demand

According to Temasek Trust, there is increased demand for outsourced independent philanthropy advisory services and Donor Advised Funds to facilitate local and regional philanthropy. This includes single-family offices aiming to qualify for overseas donation tax incentives.

«TTFA has been set up to meet this increased demand and aims to build regional philanthropy capabilities by improving access to philanthropy advisory and management services,» the statement said, highlighting benefits from Temasek Trust’s network and capabilities including impact measurement, management training and insights, collaborative philanthropic projects as well as digital marketplace Co-Axis.

TTFA will be helmed by Dickson Lim, who will lead a team to work with philanthropists, family offices, business corporations and organizations in Asia. The team will strategize, structure, execute, manage, review and transition philanthropic visions and legacies, across generations, geographies and leadership successions.
