The international property advisor has made its first global appointment for Knight Frank outside the U.K., effective April 1, 2021.

Knight Frank has named Singapore-based Neil Brookes as its global head of capital markets – a role in which he will work with the firm’s global clients to harness specialist acquisition, disposal and capital advisory expertise, whilst expanding the firm’s service offering in growth markets and sectors, it said in an announcement on Thursday.

Brookes, currently the firm's Asia Pacific head of capital markets, will retain his portfolio and leadership of the Asia transactions team, Knight Frank said. In his new role, he will be supported by the firm’s global capital markets leadership executive, comprising office, industrial and logistics, ESG, capital advisory and alternative asset specialists.

Experienced Specialist

Brookes brings a track record and depth of relationships with investors based in Asia Pacific, having led over $8.5 billion in cross-border transactions and major asset sales.

He began his career with Knight Frank in London in 2001. He later saw stints at Savills, CB Richard Ellis, and McVay, before rejoining Knight Frank in Singapore in December 2013.

Important Market

«As Asia becomes increasingly prominent in global capital flows, we’re delighted to future-proof our leadership with key roles based outside the U.K.,» Alistair Elliott, Knight Frank senior partner and group chairman, said about the appointment.
