The Hong Kong unit of Christie’s set a record for watch sales in Asia in the first half of 2023.

Watch sales for the first half of 2023 at Christie’s totaled HK$443,780,550 ($56,925,684) in Asia, according to a statement. This marks the highest ever first-half sale for the category at the auction house in the region.

Three live auctions in Hong Kong in late May drove total sales including Patek Phillippe’s ‘Dual Crown World Time’ at a record-breaking HK$66,625,000.

«The demand in Asia for rare and exceptional timepieces continues and we very much look forward to presenting more exquisite timepieces to global connoisseurs and enthusiasts throughout the rest of the year,» said Alexadre Bigler, senior vice president and head of watches, Christie’s APAC.
