London-headquartered HSBC is planning to hold a new flagship summit in Hong Kong, filling the void left by Credit Suisse's now-defunct annual investor conference.

HSBC is planning to hold a new flagship investor conference in Hong Kong in 2024 from April 8 to 10. The «HSBC Global Investment Summit» is expected to attract over 2,000 of the British lender's global banking and markets clients as well as investors to attend.

The summit will feature a range of topics across macroeconomic developments, emerging technologies, sustainability, artificial intelligence and financial markets.

«We will bring together clients, investors and thoughtful leaders from all around the world to discuss developments, challenges and, most of all, opportunities,» a spokesperson for the bank said.

Credit Suisse Replacement

The HSBC summit is being seen as a replacement for Credit Suisse’s Asian investment conference, an annual event hosted since 1998, following its acquisition by UBS.

The new summit will be held at Conrad Hotel – historically the venue of choice for Credit Suisse’s conference – following the marque HSBC-sponsored rugby event, Hong Kong Sevens, from April 5 to 7.

Credit Suisse hosted its 26th and final Asian investor conference earlier this year in March.
