Paris-based BNP Paribas has appointed a 30-year veteran as global head of banking for Asia Pacific.

BNP Paribas has appointed Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort as head of global banking, APAC, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to head of global banking Yannick Jung and APAC CEO Paul Yang.

In the newly created role, de Liedekerke Beaufort is responsible for the French lender’s global banking business in the region, which covers corporate clients group, global capital markets and transaction banking.

30-Year Veteran

De Liedekerke Beaufort has over 30 years of experience at BNP Paribas. Prior to Asia, he held senior positions across Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. And within the region, he spent the last seven years serving as head of territory for Vietnam, India and, most recently, South Korea.
